Survivor Cat Loves Her Dog Sister, And They Can’t Get Enough Of Cuddling

“She lacked socialization and was very fearful,” Shannon Basner, owner of Mojo’s Hope shared. “She learned to trust us, and what we saw from her immediately was her incredibly nurturing and compassionate nature.”
Quickly after joining Mojo’s Hope, Cinder has gotten along well with all of her program siblings—especially the cats—since joining Mojo's Hope.

“She’s [become] an extraordinary mentor for every new rescue that came into our program,” Basner said. “She’s provided them with love, care and a place of safety.”
In July 2022, Bridger McPurr, a kitten in need, found his way to Mojo’s Hope after being discovered cold and unable to move his legs. Though facing challenges with his legs, Bridger’s spirit remained high. Cinder, known for her affectionate nature, was introduced to Bridger, and an immediate bond formed between the two. Cinder, a permanent resident of Mojo’s Hope, became a steadfast companion to Bridger.

“Cinder gets super excited when she has her kitty friends to snuggle with,” Basner said. “With Bridger, she was very cautious at first, as she knew he was very fragile.”
Bridger, who exudes love for cuddling, quickly connected with Cinder, and the two have been inseparable ever since. Bridger gently paws at Cinder's face, purring loudly, creating a heartwarming and precious sight.
“It’s beyond precious,” Basner said. “No matter how many times we have seen this, it is truly the most beautiful and precious sight!”
While Cinder is a permanent resident of Mojo’s Hope, Bridger is looking for a loving forever home. However, Mojo’s Hope is in no hurry to part with this adorable cat, ensuring he continues to receive love and care while awaiting the perfect family.
“We would love for Bridger to connect with a wonderful home,” Basner said. “However, as he waits, he will continue to be well-loved, cared for and will always be a member of our Mojo’s Hope family.”
