But, sadly, not everyone thinks that way. Herschel has lived a life of neglect, chained up in a backyard far from the love and attention he deserved for five long years. Despite the harsh conditions, he never lost hope.

Finally, Herschel was rescued. The non-profit FoundAnimals Adopt & Shop stepped in to give him a second chance at life. They found him a new forever home in Washington State.

On #DogsDayOut, Rocky Kanaka from Save Our Shelter chose him as a candidate for Rocky Kanaka's Dog's Day Out. They took him on a road trip from Los Angeles to his new furever home. Thanks to this adventure, Herschel got his first taste of true freedom. The experience was nothing short of extraordinary.
