Dog Without A Single Offer At Adoption Event Finally Finds His Loving Home Forever

Meet Elvis, a charming 3-year-old hound dog known as a "meatball," who has always longing for a forever home at the Anti-Cruelty Society (ACS), Chicago. According to ACS, Elvis arrived at the shelter as a stray. Upon examination, they noticed he was not putting any weight on his back leg. X-rays later revealed he had a fractured pelvis.

Recently, the shelter had an adoption event, and this loving dog might think that he found his chance in finding a real family. Unfortunately, though it was a happy day for many other friends, Elvis remained unadopted.

Concerned for Elvis's prolonged stay, the shelter later decided to reach out for help, and surprisingly, the nation responded with an overwhelming outpouring of affection for the lovable hound.

In less than a week, Elvis found his perfect match with a local couple, Loren and Drew. And the match couldn’t be more wonderful, as Loren previously worked as an Elvis impersonator.

“This couple is head over heels in love with their new family member and already has a dog bed and tons of toys waiting for him at his forever home,” the shelter wrote in its final update on Elvis.

After spending 132 days in the shelter, Elvis headed home with Loren and Drew, who were head over heels in love with their new family member. When he was at the new home, the couple had already prepared a warm welcome, complete with a cozy dog bed and lots of toys for Elvis.

"When no one else wanted him, we found him. We’re all a bunch of misfits," said Drew.
