Tom Cruise Scientology: Does He Stick To The Religion? Reveal The Truth About It

Tom Cruise has not yet confirmed the rumors that the actor quits Scientology. Reports have been circulating about his potential disconnection from the faith, partly due to his absence from the UK headquarters in East Grinstead for around three years. 

This absence can be attributed to his extensive commitments filming Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One, which have primarily kept him in the UK, seen in places like Birmingham and the Cotswolds. 

It is said that Tom Cruise is a close friend of  L. Ron Hubbard, who established and developed Scientology. The Church of Scientology's core belief is that a person is an immortal spiritual being, referred to as a thetan, temporarily living in a physical body.

Leah Remini shared a part of her 2017 interview with UFC commentator and podcaster Joe Rogan on TikTok, where she addressed the speculations surrounding Tom Cruise's affiliation with Scientology. In the brief 2-minute clip, Remini dismisses the rumor that the actor stays with Scientology because the church possesses his personal information. Instead, she points to religion's influence in the Entertainment industry and the advantages of being a member. 

"It's like nothing you can imagine," she says. "The amount of power they receive from this church is like nothing in Hollywood. There is no reason for them to leave this environment."

“There's a policy on how to talk to somebody,”  she also relieved, “"Like if you said 'Go get me a coffee and I want it at this temperature,' there's no 'I can't get it.' Remini also mentions that Tom Cruise has "a lot" of people at his beck and call.

The thing that annoyed her the most may be worker’s belief: they are serving someone "who is single handedly saving the planet" and "you deserve that kind of punishment.”

Scientology played a role in Tom Cruise’s divorces from Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes. While his separation from Kidman was mutual, Katie Holmes blindsided him with divorce papers, primarily due to her concerns about raising their daughter within Scientology.

Other celebs like Leah Remini, Jerry Seinfeld, Lisa Marie Presley, Nazanin Boniadi, Beck, Jason Lee and Paul Haggis among others have left Scientology and each of them had their personal reason.  

In 2017, the Mail on Sunday revealed that a source close to Priscilla Presley, said that she had decided to part ways with the religion as well.
