Sam Rockwell brings Justin Hammer to life in "What If…?" Season 2. His first portrayal of this character was in 2010's "Iron Man 2," where he played Tony Stark's weapon-developing rival. Intriguingly, Rockwell accepted the role without even reading the script, unfamiliar with the character who is portrayed as much older in the comics.

Sam Rockwell's journey began in the Bay Area, born to acting parents Pete and Penny Rockwell. Moving to New York City at the age of two, he spent his childhood between San Francisco and New York due to his parents' divorce.
