Is Peter Parker In Madame Web? Here’s Everything We Know

Sony’s Madame Web revolves around Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in NYC who gains clairvoyant abilities after nearly drowning. This ability allows her to see into the future, and connect with three other girls, who later become Spider-People themselves: Julia Carpenter, Mattie Franklin, and Anya Corazon.

While reaching out to these girls, Cassandra must also help them evade Ezekiel Sims, a mysterious Spider-Person who wields the same arachnid powers and clairvoyant abilities just like her. However, the trailer doesn’t directly involve any scene with Peter Parker, the OG Spider-Man.

While the trailer doesn’t directly mention Peter Parker or feature any imminent sequence with him, there is a blink-and-you-will-miss-it moment in the first half of the trailer that may suggest he will appear in Madame Web.

Around the 51st second of the trailer, we can see a faint figure emerge from the water, with the iconic red color of Spider-Man. The red figure is covered by black webbing, but this could be just a black net or seaweed that gets caught. The sequence is brief and unclear, but it’s enough to send the community wild, as they believe that the red figure is Peter Parker himself.

With both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield versions of Peter Parker appearing in Spider-Man: No Way Home, it’s officially confirmed that the MCU and Sony’s Spider-Man Universe are connected via the Multiverse. Therefore, the fact that Peter Parker can appear in the current Sony’s Spider-Man Universe is entirely possible, we’re just not sure which.

Assuming that the concept of Multiverse is applied to Sony’s Universe as well, every version of Peter Parker can appear in Madame Web: from Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, or even Tom Holland version. Having multiple Movies about supporting characters is an interesting take, but it just wouldn’t feel like a Spider-Man movie without the original one.

While everyone wants Peter Parker to return to the Sony Universe, Madame Web might not be that movie. If the rumors are right, Adam Scott is playing a young version of Uncle Ben in the movie, which means Madame Web takes place way before Peter Parker was born. Therefore, having the OG Wall-Crawler in Madame Web specifically might be a tough feat.

There are also rumors about how Tobey Maguire, who plays Peter Parker in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy in the 2000s, will have a small cameo role in Madame Web. However, there is no confirmation just yet from Sony, so we’ll have to wait and see.
