Lauren Carpio, the pair’s mom, said, “He’s loved Noah since the day we brought him home, and vice versa. They instantly made a connection.”
Moose appeared to sense that Noah needed some extra care and protection, and he was right. Noah was born with heart issues and had to go through many surgeries. Unfortunately, he suffered complications and developed seizures.
Taking care of Noah's health issues made his parents realize that Moose had this natural sense of responsibility.
Carpio said, “We have a camera in his room called the Sami—it's for people with epilepsy. We have a live feed we can watch, and it will alarm if he has any sudden jerking movements."
"I remember seeing Moose on the camera one night when he was still a puppy, and he just never stopped going in there,” she added.
Moose, the furry guardian, has a nightly routine where he quietly checks on Noah to make sure everything is okay. With a lot of love, he repeats this routine throughout the night, adding a special charm to his actions.
He wants to be close by in case Noah needs him, and if something does happen, he will not leave his brother's side.
When Noah isn't feeling well, especially after a seizure, Moose becomes more attentive.“He will stay right next to his side, just staring at him, and give him a good lick on the cheeks every couple of minutes. Just to make sure Noah knows he’s there with him the entire time,” Carpio shared.
In each lick, gaze, and quiet presence, Moose is a source of comfort, a symbol of unconditional love, standing by Noah's side through all the ups and downs.
