People love Roy and Keely's romance in Ted Lasso because they bring out the best in each other. However, in the Season 2 finale, Roy surprised Keeley with a vacation, but she couldn't go due to work. Although she encouraged him to go alone, Roy worried that she was breaking up with him. This incident, combined with Roy's feeling left out of a Vanity Fair article, led to their eventual breakup.
In the Season 3 premiere, we learn through Roy’s niece, Phoebe that Roy was the one who ended the relationship because they are both too busy. Keeley is focused on her new PR company, while Roy is responsible for tactics and strategies at Richmond. Despite the breakup, fans are still rooting for them to get back together.

Ted Lasso returned to both the SkyEX community stadium and their home stadium at Selhurst Park, which is the actual home of Crystal Palace Football Club. The scenes filmed in bars and streets were shot in genuine pubs and streets in Richmond and Twickenham. Filming for the season began on March 7, 2022, in London, and some parts of the season were filmed on location in Amsterdam.
