There was just one small problem: it was right in the middle of the "red zone," a military-sanctioned quarantine area that happened to be the epicenter of Godzilla's destruction. While trying to get inside, the group avoided the military long enough for Cate to reflect on her past relationships and how they contributed to the trauma she experienced on G-Day.

A Brief Recap Of The Last Episode

Monarch takes an unexpected detour after the Randa twins escape capture by a mysterious organization. While exploring their father's San Francisco office in the military-sanctioned "red zone," they evade the military and discover a map leading to Hiroshi Randa.
In the present, Shaw, Duvall, and the Randa siblings unite to prevent a looming Titan disaster, creating an Anti-Monarch alliance. The group encounters Godzilla, awakening since G-Day, and separates in pursuit of different objectives. In the past, Shaw and Keiko bond at a Defense Federation ball, investigating a potential Titan in Japan.
