Delly overheard Gil’s conversation with Moss about the gold and decided to go to Florida. She faked her death, but Mike found her, and they decided to look for the gold together. After a series of plans, they found the truck that supposedly had the gold inside a sinkhole. However, it was empty, and they thought it was a fantasy.

After preparing to get the truck out of the sinkhole, they noticed water around the gear, indicating it had been used before. Delly must have realized that too and stashed the gold inside the boat, which was the same place she suspected Gil had hidden it.
Knowing someone would come after her, Delly was happy to see Mike. He had come looking for her, and finding the gold was just a bonus. Sonny was the only person who knew about the gold, and he wouldn't harm his son, even if he was cheated. Therefore, Delly and Mike got a happy ending.
