In a recent interview with Vogue, Angelina Jolie, the versatile actress and humanitarian, got candid about her latest venture into the world of fashion and what inspired her to do so. You see, for Angelina, it's all about family and making the world a better place, one outfit at a time.
She's set to launch her fashion brand, Atelier Jolie, and it's not just about trendy clothes; it's about making fashion more inclusive. Her motivation? Well, that came from her own family, particularly her 18-year-old daughter Zahara Jolie-Pitt.
Zahara, who was adopted by Angelina from an Ethiopian orphanage when she was just seven months old, faced challenges when it came to finding clothing that matched her unique skin tone. This was a realization that hadn't crossed Angelina's mind until she went shopping with her daughter.
That is, Zahara finds it hard to find clothing that is fitting for her skin tone.
"Obviously, as a white woman, I’ve never had this experience," Jolie admitted. "It never crossed my mind until we went shopping together, and I saw that there’s so much room for improvement."

This eye-opening experience led Angelina to create a fashion line that's not just fashionable but also considers diversity and individuality.
What's remarkable is that a significant portion of her collection, a whopping 84%, is crafted with sustainable and ethical materials. It's fashion with a conscience, reflecting her commitment to making the world a better place.
Jolie shared her vision for the brand, saying, "Sometimes the way you dress says, 'Don’t mess with me—I’ve got my armor on.' But I want a woman to feel safe enough that she can be soft."
The actress, who has embraced different roles both on and off the screen, also opened up about her journey as a mother. She shared how becoming a mom at the age of 26 when she adopted her first son, Maddox, changed her life and taught her to navigate the world differently.

"I was 26 when I became a mother. My entire life changed," she revealed. "Having children saved me - and taught me to be in this world differently."
It's clear that Angelina's life experiences and her love for her family continue to shape her path, whether it's in fashion, motherhood, or making a difference in the world. And that's the kind of inspiration we can all get behind.
Jolie and Brad Pitt tied the knot in a secret ceremony in the romantic South of France in 2014. During their time together, they welcomed three biological children together: Shiloh, who's now 17 and was born in 2006, and the adorable twins, Vivienne and Knox, who are now 15, and were born in 2008.
But their family was far from traditional. Alongside their biological children, they adopted two more: the radiant Zahara, now 18, and the wise-beyond-his-years Pax, who is now 19. In a heartwarming move, Brad legally adopted Maddox, whom Angelina had adopted before their love story began. Maddox is now 22.
