Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse: The Sequel About The Black Spider-Man

Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse is scheduled to premiere in 2023. This is the sequel to Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, a 2018 animated movie that earned huge success commercially and critically. Therefore, the movie is now highly anticipated by Spider-Men’s fans and also public audiences.

#1. Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse Release Date

Originally, the movie was planned to be in the theater in April 2022. However, due to the pandemic which negatively affected the movie industry, it was delayed to June 2, 2023. This is the middle of summer therefore there will also be various blockbuster movies premiering at the same time. Hopefully, the sequel will still perform well at the worldwide box office. In June next year, there will be several other major projects such as Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, The Flash… Following the movie, a threequel, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will be released on March 29, 2024. Then, Spider-Verse will be a complete trilogy about Miles Morales.

#2. The First Trailer Of The Film

The first trailer for the film was out almost a year ago, in December 2021. It reveals what might happen at the beginning of the sequel movie with two main characters, Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy. In the first scene, we see Miles listening to music and also, being grounded in his room. And the song he listens to is no other than Sunflower by Post Malone and Swae Lee, the original soundtrack of the first movie. Then Gwen appears, finds out about her sketch in his notebook and asks him for a favor afterwards. He cannot even say no and they eventually go on another adventure. 
The trailer was released prior to a pre-postponed official December 2022 release, however, the premiere has to wait a little longer. Other than that, no other trailer film has been out ever since. 
However, on the official Twitter account of the trilogy, @SpiderVerse, Sony still keeps us updated with many teasing photos and videos. Also, great fanarts, unforgettable scenes and hilarious memes are also available. 

#3. Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse Cast

Shameik Moore and Hailee Steinfeld are the leading voice actors from the previous movie. Therefore, it is certain that they are reprising their roles in the sequel. In addition, Oscar Isaac, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez and Greta Lee are all expected to return to portray the roles they did previously. New cast members consist of Hobart "Hobie" Brown (Black Panther) and Issa Rae. They shall play Spider-Punk and Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew) respectively. Jorma Taccone playing Vulture, Jason Schwartzman playing Spot, Rachel Dratch playing the principal at Miles' school and Shea Whigham playing George Stacey are other new faces. 

#4. Spider-Verse Is Still Not Part Of Sony's Spider-Man Universe 

Despite both franchises being developed by Sony and inspired by Marvel Comics, they are actually separate from each other. Meanwhile the Spider-Man Universe focuses on the villains who are against Spidey, Spider-Verse demonstrate different variants of this young superhero across the Multiverse. Significantly, both are worth-anticipating if you are a loyal fan of this character. Each franchise will focus on a different aspect of this friendly young neighbor.
