Kevin Alves is a Canadian born film and television actor most well-known for his most recent work on Showtime’s original series Yellowjackets. He began his work in his teenage years with a debut role on a made for TV film called Kayaks Adventures of Gabe and Allie. His work in television during his teen years happened while juggling traveling the world to 20 different countries as a world class figure skater. Once reaching two World Figure Skating Championships and being ranked in the top 30 in the world, Kevin ended his skating career to focus solely on building his career as an actor.
Within the next year, Kevin worked on Syfy's Warehouse 13 and recurred role as Fabio on the 12th season of Teen Nick's Degrassi: The Next Generation. He then went on to recur for two seasons on both Freeform's Shadowhunters as Bat Belasquez from The Mortal Instruments and Netflix’s Locke & Key as Javi Gonzalez. Currently he can be seen as Travis Martinez in the first season (10 episodes) of Showtime’s genre bending new series Yellowjackets. For those who missed the first season of the Showtime drama, Travis is the son of Bill Martinez, the head coach of the Yellowjackets girls soccer team. The players were bound for the nationals when their plane crashed in the wilderness of Canada and the coach was killed.
