After battling addiction and getting shot in the face by the guy she loved, Amber bravely turned her life around. She went on a three-day excursion into the desert with a shaman to heal. Amber hiked 26 miles through the Enchantments, one of North America’s toughest excursions, and has since taken up long-distance trekking, commonly known as thru-hiking. She has also immersed herself entirely in her journey of finding herself through yoga, hiking, and the manifestations that keep her going. The reality TV star is very close to her 99- old-Nana, with whom she shares a loving relationship.
Asay feels that her past trauma has given her the strength to overcome anything hurled her way. She explained: “I feel as if my entire life experience has shaped me into a resilient, adaptable human being. What I have had to overcome in the past has shown me that with the right mindset, anything is possible.”

She took part in religious practice to start her healing journey. The Shaman would interact with the world of good and evil spirits as they performed the ritual and practice. What is even more impressive is that Amber had absolutely no gear or equipment whilst out in the desert. However, she managed to survive and thrive, on the trip. Amber has also explored the Enchantments in preparation for Outlast, as it is one of the most difficult treks in North America. Walking 26 miles in a day, Amber got experience within the Alpine Lakes Wilderness area of the Cascade Mountain Range. Although, we’re not sure anything could prepare her for the baltic Alaskan temperatures. As an avid thru-hiking expert, the long-haul walker is geared up for even the longest treks to the finish line.
The reality TV star is also the Project Coordinator at LGE Design. She secured the position in May 2022 and has worked with the company ever since. Before working at LGE Design, she was the Operation Coordinator at American Cleaning Systems. Interestingly, she was the Circus Coach at the Circus School of Arizona. Amber, Jill, and Justin were members of Alpha from the start of the game. Their fourth teammate, the retired marine Lee, left early in the competition. But tensions rose among them toward the end, causing him to leave them for Charlie.
However, on his way out, Justin sabotaged Jill and Amber’s shelter, which was a significant turn-off for Charlie, who has been adamant about wanting to play a clean game since the beginning. They parted ways with Justin, who shot his flare and left the competition. Ultimately, the final challenge pits Amber/Jill against Seth/Nick/Paul as they race across an obstacle-laden trek to get to the last drop-off, containing the $1 million cash prize.
