Reports from TVLine indicate that the debut of the thirteenth episode will take place on Wednesday, May 24 at 8 PM Eastern Time. Because an earlier episode will be shown again on March 22nd, there won't be another brand new episode for quite some time.
At the time that this article was published, the title of the episode that will conclude the series was unknown. The fifth episode is titled "The Mask of the Red Death, Part 2," and it will have Barry, along with the rest of Team Flash, having their final confrontation with the evil iteration of Ryan Wilder. Despite the fact that this would put an end to Red Death's storyline, he will not be the only main antagonist in The Flash season 9. In the second half of the show's last season, both Reverse-Flash and Zoom will be played by Matt Letscher and Teddy Sears, who will reprise their roles from earlier in the season.

 

According to photos taken on set, Rick Cosnett will be the primary adversary in the episode that concludes Season 9. The outfits that he is wearing give the impression that the Cobalt Blue character from the DC Comics universe is being adapted into the Arrowverse's version of the villain. Savitar and Godspeed were reportedly seen on the set of The Flash's season finale, although it is unclear how they will make their comeback.
