Sword Art Online Season 5: Release Date, Storyline, Cast, And Much More

The release date for season 5 has yet to be confirmed. Rumor has it that it will be aired in either late 2023 or early 2024. There is any piece of information if it is in production. 

We know it is disappointing not to have any confirmations but do not lose your hope. Sword Art Online has been a big hit with major streaming platforms, so it’s very much a possibility that producers will come up with Season 5.

According to the Light Novel, Kirigaya Kazuto (Kirito) and Yuuki Asuna (Asuna) are still main characters. Besides them, we will see the presence of Yui, Alice, Lisbeth, Silica, and others. 

While SAO season 4 learned about Alice, the next one is expected to focus on two main characters Kirito and Asuna. The part may follow the events of the Unital Ring. After the wake up of Kirito, everything seems to be back to normal. Kirito, Asuna, and their friends continue their journey.

A massive earthquake happens that creates the Unital Ring by merging New Aincrad and another VR game.    

Can they escape this game and return to the real world? Will anyone get trapped here? Fans are eagerly anticipating what will happen next.

We are uncertain where Sword Art Online Season 5 will come out. Netflix has its previous seasons so Season 5 is expected to be aired there. Additionally, some platforms such as; Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Hulu may be places to stream.
