Reflect her glittering career

Selena Gomez, famous for her Disney fame and successful music career, suggested that her next album could be her last in the music industry.
Selena Gomez, known for her Disney Channel days on Wizards of Waverly Place, has smoothly moved into music and acting. In 2020, she ventured into cooking with her show Selena + Chef. But it was in 2021 that she really impressed with her main role in the Hulu series Only Murders in the Building, a comedy-mystery alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short.

Selena considers to leave the music field soon

During the SmartLess podcast, the “Bad Liar” singer talked about thinking of shifting more towards acting. She looked back on enjoying her music and touring days, especially from her Disney Channel times on Wizards of Waverly Place.
However, as time passed, she felt a need to “find something to just settle on.” While she believes there's one more album left in her, she strongly expressed wanting to focus more on acting in the next phase of her career.
The podcast hosts encouraged her to continue both music and acting but Gomez responded, “You’re right, but I am going to want to chill because I’m tired.”
Selena Gomez's choice seems tied to her personal growth and the challenges her busy schedule posed on her mental health. In 2016, she bravely canceled a tour, highlighting her ongoing struggles with mental health and stressing the significance of prioritizing well-being.
Selena Gomez didn't plan on entering the music scene. After recording the theme song for Wizards of Waverly Place, Disney suggested she make an album. Despite not thinking of herself as the best singer, Gomez saw it as a chance to share stories through music.
Besides her Entertainment ventures, she's also left a mark in the beauty industry with her cosmetics line, Rare Beauty. In July 2020, she launched the Rare Impact Fund, aiming to raise $100 million over the next decade to address mental health service gaps in underserved communities.
