Contrary to rumors from the gossip account Deuxmoi, Taylor Swift's publicist, Tree Paine, has made a rare and surprising statement debunking claims that Swift and Joe Alwyn tied the knot. Paine dismissed months-long speculation about a supposed commitment ceremony between Swift and Alwyn.

Deuxmoi alleged in a post, saying that Swift and Alwyn had a “ceremony in either 2020 or 2021 in the U.K. and it was described to me as a 'marriage' by more than one person. It was NEVER made legal. I will die on this hill! Put it on my tombstone! I have no reason to lie, I could give a shit.”

Paine called Deuxmoi’s saying “fabricated lies.” The message read, “There was NEVER a marriage or ceremony of ANY kind. This is an insane thing to post. It's time for you to be held accountable for the pain and trauma you cause with posts like these.”

It's not common for Taylor Swift's team to address internet gossip, especially the blind-item-style rumors. Swift usually reveals information through her music and rarely comments on such speculations.

Even when she and Joe Alwyn reportedly split in April, neither Swift nor her rep officially confirmed it. So, the statement dismissing marriage rumors, especially considering the prior breakup news, came as a surprise to Swifties.
