Updated: Who’s Inside The Red Death Suit? Who Plays Red Death On The Flash Season 9?

Considering who Red Death is in the comics, does this mean The Flash season 9 will be introducing Bruce Wayne into the plot or will the story take a different turn? Here’s what we know!
This week’s The Flash episode was set in motion by Barry realizing that Captain Boomerang, The Fiddler and now Murmur have been stealing for their mysterious benefactor the components needed to build a cosmic treadmill — which, if abused/misused, could wreck the space-time continuum and all that. The Flash this night offered an update on Gotham City’s own costumed crime fighter, before revealing who’s inside the Red Death suit in perfectly batty fashion. Who’s inside the Red Death Suit?

Anywho… the whole heist goes sideways when Red Death’s minions show up and go toe-to-toe with each of Barry’s rogues, and Chillblaime returns heel, having brokered a deal with the baddies to get Frost back. When the two sides ready to square off again in the parking lot outside, Red Death speeds onto the scene to break it up, grab the vibration whatchamacallit and give The Flash a warning.
One final component is needed, though — a vibration thingamajig, and there is only one in existence, down the road inside a DoD facility. And since The Flash is no great friend of General Isling, Bar decides on a different approach to safeguarding the gizmo, by stealing it first. To that end, he recruits Gold Face, Jocko and a very reluctant Chillblaine to join him and the Pied Piper in pinching the tech. And yes, “The Chemist” eventually must concede to the in-the-dark frenemies that he is in fact The Flash.

Back at STAR Labs, Barry updates the team on their new foe — namely, the bat symbol on their suit. Chester at this point was already confabbing with Team Bat’s Luke Fox, after the boomerang tech was traced back to some bleeding-edge Wayne Industries tech. Chester reports that, per Luke, Batwoman aka Ryan Wilder went missing weeks ago, while out on a call.
Speculated:  Red Death getting in Chillblaine’s face, after he plotted to take the vibration doohickey for himself. Chillblaine asked how they can work alongside someone whose face they haven’t even seen, at which point Red Death pulled off their helmet to reveal — no surprise, but still fun — that may be Ryan Wilder.

#2. The Flash season 9 plot

The Flash season 9‘s Big Bad plot is steadily building in the background as Barry and the team deal with rogue metas working together on a singular mission. Their leader was a blur-like villain in the premiere, “Wednesday Ever After,” who’s been supplying Captain Boomerang with the tech he needs to wreak havoc on Central City. The lone indicator that this season’s baddie is someone comics’ fans would be familiar with was the red electric bat symbol that flashed across the screen at the end of the premiere.
Of course, if you’re familiar with the character Red Death this was enough to get you hype over what’s to come. In the comics, Red Death is a version of Batman that’s born from grief. After Damian, Dick, Jason, and Tim die, an older Bruce Wayne couldn’t handle the loss and took proactive measures.
In order to prevent losing more loved ones, he decided that he needed to take control of The Flash’s Speed Force and equipped tech from the Rogues in order to capture the hero. He then tied a knocked out Barry to the Batmobile which had been modified to include a machine that reverse engineered the Cosmic Treadmill. When Bruce drove through the Speed Force he ended up absorbing Barry which not only turned him into a speedster but also created a split personality.

The Flash won’t be bringing Bruce Wayne to Central City. Instead, fans will be dropped into a plot involving a Batwoman who has assumed the identity of Red Death.
The storyline surrounding this Big Bad is still under wraps, but we do know the woman inside the suit is another version of Ryan Wilder. If you watched the Batwoman series, or tuned into last year’s crossover event that showcased her friendship with Iris West-Allen in an alternate timeline, then you’re familiar with the character played by Javicia Leslie. We can’t wait to find out her villain origin story in this exciting plot for Flash’s final run.
