Match Preview

Brazil have never lost in four previous encounters with Croatia in all competitions, although it has been four-and-a-half years since both teams last met when they lined up for a friendly match in England.
Zlatko Dalic's men have repeated some of the success of their run to the 2018 World Cup final in Russia, where all of their knockout matches bar the final came to extra time.
They will be confident of giving Brazil their toughest test yet at the 2022 finals, after recovering from a goal behind in their Round of 16 matches to edge through on penalties. Brazil vs Croatia Prediction might be found here.

Team News

Brazil vs. Croatia- Prediction, BrazilSource: latimes

As for Brazil, they will be without Gabriel Jesus and Alex Telles, who are ruled out for the rest of the World Cup with knee injuries, while Tite has announced that Alex Sandro is unlikely to feature as he keeps recovering from a hip issue.
Sandro's Juventus teammate Danilo is thus set to continue at left-back, cooperating with Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, and Eder Militao in the back four.
Militao is one of three Selecao stars along with Fred and Bruno Guimaraes who are only one yellow card away from skipping a potential semi-final bout, and the latter two are supposed to start again on the substitutes' bench, with Casemiro and Paqueta picked by Tite to start in center-midfield.
Neymar recovered from an ankle injury to start and score against South Korea, and he is poised to restart in an advanced role in between wingers Raphinha and Vinicius Junior, while Richarlison starts to lead the lineup front.

Croatia pair Borna Sosa and Josip Stanisic both skipped the victory over Japan because of illness and a muscle injury respectively; the former might be ready to return and could replace Borna Barisic at left-back, while the latter remains doubtful and will be considered ahead of kickoff.
Dalic is unlikely to make too many adjustments to his starting lineup, with midfield maestros Luka Modric, Marcelo Brozovic, and Mateo Kovacic all predicted to retain their places on Friday – both Modric and Kovacic are just one booking away from suspension along with Barisic and Dejan Lovren.
Clearly, Lovren will keep participating in his defense's partnership with sought-after starlet Josko Gvardiol, while Marko Livaja and Ante Budimir will be fighting to displace Bruno Petkovic as the central striker. Perisic and Andrej Kramaric, meanwhile, are poised to be set again on the flanks.
