Davidson, the head corrections officer, releases one inmate, who then terrorizes their fellow inmates. The convict launches an attack, slashing two guards in the back and murdering one of them (Raphael). Thankfully, they were able to disarm their opponent and prevent additional violence.
Mike ups his game externally, increasing the pressure on system elites. Although he contacts Kareem, the corrections officer has no direct say in moving inmates from one facility to another. Kyle gives Mike a large duffel bag holding Milo's money in the parking lot. Kyle snatched the bonds from the evidence area at the police station. This turn of events stuns Mike. And he certainly doesn't give his sibling any praise, telling him instead to steer out of danger. Kyle claims that he was meticulous in wiping the cameras. Once again, Kyle questions if he will be a decent father, but Mike is quick to comfort him.
The next stop is Davidson's house. Mike requests an in-person meeting with the facility's top security official. Bunny is told to be left alone, and Davidson is warned to back off. Davidson, realizing the danger Mike poses, confronts him. The Mayor claims he doesn't want to start anything, but Davidson won't take no for an answer. Using his weight, he forces Mike backward. Kyle charges in, pistol in hand, striking Davidson and shoving the gun in his face.
Mike stresses once again that Bunny should not be trifled with. It seems to me that he has heard me loud and clear. Even though he is taking responsibility and assisting his brother, Kyle is completely unraveling. After threatening Davidson, he spends the rest of the day constructing dozens of sheds in the backyard and then stumbles home drunk. Mariam is worried and goes to talk to her son, but her son reassures her that everything is well.

Due to Mike's angry threats, Bunny is released from isolation and sent to have a private conversation with Mike. Bunny has been thinking, and now that he is free from the death box, he would want to be in charge of this jail.
Mike, irritated by the fact that they killed the Mexican, orders him to be silent. Bunny excuses himself by saying Mike wasn't assisting, so he had to take action alone. Mike rehashes his old promise that he would "get Bunny out," but the Crips leader is no longer buying it. Even more surprisingly to the Mayor, he brings up the fact that they have to guard Mike despite not having all the facts. While we know who was chasing him, Bunny won't say who.
In the juvenile correctional institution, Mariam encounters an inmate named Jacob. He tells her that his attorney worked out a compromise. He'll be free to depart after just one season if he's any good. Jacob is afraid he won't be able to make it due to peer pressure from the gangs. He begs Mariam to recommend him to Mike. Jacob is in Mike's debt for assistance with the gangs or a transfer. In this case, Mariam will be happy to assist.
Mike has no choice but to resort to foul tactics. He interrupts Evelyn and DA Lockett when they are having dinner. Once the District Attorney failed to fulfill his end of the bargain, Mike became enraged and demanded that Bunny be released immediately. The DA brushes off Mike's demands with a casual shrug and an observation that Mike is bringing up very dangerous criminals. It makes no difference if a deal is broken.

Mike doesn't get the district attorney's chill demeanor. To emphasize his point that Milo is still alive and doing havoc in the world, he pulls out all the stops. Mike talks with the District Attorney. If he signs the papers and frees Bunny, he will provide information on Milo and assist in getting him jailed.
Meanwhile, internal tensions have been steadily increasing. Kareem learns that an inmate he thrashed badly later died due to the ordeal. Yet, Carney is taking precautions to keep Kareem out of trouble as he attempts to conceal Kareem's death. Bunny goes back to helping out behind bars and eventually runs into Raphael. An inmate who assaulted Raphael was a lone wolf, says crime leader Gunner to Bunny. This prisoner, who has both hands severed in a mechanical mishap, is treated horribly as a test of the staff's loyalty.
Bunny finally decides to phone Mike towards the end of the episode. Bunny says he's made a way out for Mike and is ready to go. One of the district attorneys cuts out of his office while this is happening. A masked gunman kills the DA in a garage under the city. It is unknown if Bunny was engaged in the murder or if someone else acted to have the DA removed from office.
