Loudest Puppy At Shelter Is Suddenly Silent When He Meets His Beloved Dad Again

Being abandoned is a hard feeling, not only for humans but also for animals. Can you imagine how an affable puppy could be abandoned up to three times before he finally got a real house? Meet Goose and hear his story to better understand the situation he was in.
Goose is a kind and friendly buddy at Adopt An Angle. He was a little pup when he first separated from his mom and moved to the shelter. Being famous for his deep and howl-like bark, the canine is said to never fit in a department since he might cause noise contamination if he were there.

“He’s got a hound bark that could seriously win contests,” Adopt An ANGEL director Jill Jones shared.
Even though he was such an energetic canine, Goose was also one of the most sensitive friends at Adopt An Angle. He often delivers his strong feelings through his sounds.
“He screams when he feels anxious and abandoned,” Jones said. “If he’s quiet, it’s because he’s happy.” According to Jones, who was so sure that Goose’s barks coincided with his feelings.

Loveable as he is, Goose has sadly experienced homelessness three times in three years. The first time he was separated from his mom and became the resident of the shelter, he cried a lot. And when his first adoptive family brought him back as an adult, staff assumed that he was crying out for them. You can listen to them here:
The next adoptive family was a young couple and the lovely was so excited to become a member in the new home. Nevertheless, it was not long after he was adopted, the couple ended in tears and the poor dog was homeless again. Without informing the other, one of Goose's parents sent him back to the refuge.

“[His dad] moved to Florida and had no idea that Goose was here with us in North Carolina,” Jones said. “We didn’t know that he was out there, either.”
After being returned for the third time, Goose even howled louder than ever before.
But then, by accident, one of Goose’s dad’s best friends came across the shelter and he immediately realized the poor dog, who has a very specific appearance. The poor dog has missed an ear since he was a little puppy.
“He was like, ‘Oh my God! Goose, what are you doing here?’ and just started texting [Goose’s dad],” Jones said. The friend then told Goose’s dad about what happened and he was totally shocked to know about Goose’s situation. He decided to bring Goose out of the shelter again no matter what.
“He was like, ‘Let me figure this out so that I can get loudest puppy at shelter and bring him back,” Jones said.

Four days later, Goose’s dad had a long journey from Florida to North Carolina and reunited with his long-lost pup.

Despite being the loudest dog in the shelter, Goose completely went quiet when he met his dad again. This time, the pup knew that he finally found his forever home.
“It was like he was saying, ‘I know that my people are here, so there’s no need to scream,'” Jones said. “‘I was only screaming for my people.’”

After the reunion, Goose had a trip to his grandpa's house and became friends with his dog cousins. He had lived happily in the permanent home before his dad got ready for their new house.

Everyone at the shelter was very happy for him. Jones shared that she really missed Goose but she was happy to know that the little dog was finally back with his human.
Besides Goose, there are lots of animals, who are waiting for a loving home. So if you love animals, why don’t you make a donation to Adopt An Angel to help these lovely friends? You can also consider adopting them by directly contacting the shelter.
