Is Professor X In Deadpool 3? Here’s Sir Patrick Stewart’s Answer
Every Marvel fan yearns for the appearance of X-Men characters in the MCU, now that Disney has finally acquired Fox and merged the Marvel and X-Men Verse into one. The upcoming Deadpool 3 is the first MCU title to materialize that vision (no, not Wanda’s Vision), as the movie will see Wade Wilson traveling the multiverse to meet some iconic figures.
So far, we have known that Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and Jennifer Garner’s Elektra are a part of the crew, but what about other mutants? Among the X-Men, Sir Patrick Stewart’s Charles Xavier is linked to the movie the most. But will he appear in Deadpool 3 after all? Sir Stewart recently gave us some exciting updates.

#1. Is Sir Patrick Stewart In Deadpool 3?
Speaking on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Sir Patrick Stewart was asked by the host Josh Horowitz if he will appear in a future Deadpool or Wolverine movie. In which, the veteran actor answered:
“It... it has come up. There's been a process.”
While Sir Stewart didn’t directly confirm the rumor, his rather vague answer has given us some positive signs that he is currently involved in a Deadpool or Wolverine live-action, and will appear in future MCU movies. And since a potential Wolverine movie isn’t even announced just yet, it’s safe to say that Sir Stewart was talking about the Deadpool sequel, which is set to release on July 26, 2024.

Sir Patrick Stewart first appeared as Professor X in the first X-Men movie (2000), and continues to reprise the role in X2: X-Men United, X-Men: The Last Stand, and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. In 2019, Disney completed its acquisition of 20th Century Fox, and Professor X, alongside other X-Men, is now officially a part of the MCU. Sir Patrick Stewart makes his MCU debut as Charles Xavier in 2021’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, though his screen time is brief. He portrays Earth-838’s version of Professor X, who’s the founder of the Illuminati, and later gets killed by Earth-616 Wanda Maximoff.
If Sir Patrick Stewart appears in the upcoming Deadpool 3, he will have 24 years playing Professor X. An impressive number for someone who first played the role when he was already 60.

Obviously, if Stewart returns to Deadpool 3, he will reprise the role of the veteran mutant, Professor X. However, just like what happened in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the British actor will likely have a small supporting role in the upcoming movie, rather than a prominent one.
After all, Deadpool 3 is said to focus on the Merc with the Mouth and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, so having Professor X as a supporting character makes more sense.

If Sir Patrick Stewart appears in Deadpool 3, he won’t be the only actor to have a cameo role in the much-anticipated threequel. There have been rumors about how famous celebrities such as Taylor Swift, Channing Tatum, and Dafne Keen will be a part of the movie as different mutants.
