A graduation ceremony is a looked-forward event. The grad show is a big achievement for every student and a meaningful gift for their parents. Sometimes, some sudden appearances make the event even more remarkable and memorable. On a beautiful day in July 2019 in New Site, Alabama, when Horseshoe Bend School was waving congrats to its senior students, a dog popped up out of the blue and surprised everybody with his baffling behaviors.

Valedictorian Colby Cheany's speech was interrupted by a pooch named Charlie, who wandered into the ceremony and peed on a decorative fern next to a display table. The grads sitting behind witnessed this dog's acts and burst into laughter. Charlie seemed to serve himself very well and did not mind the crowd pointing fingers at him.

This comfortable canine's owner was Logan Branch, one of the grads living nearby. During Branch's semesters, Charlie usually followed his owner to school and visited with his friends during recess and lunch breaks. Most teenagers in the senior class were familiar with and friendly to the pup. Charlie was quite well-known in the school for his love for attention and being around people.

Even though the grads liked the dog, nobody expected to see him steal the spotlight at their ceremony. Branch said he did not bring Charlie along. This furry curious guy just wandered and came inside the gate. The moment when this pup appeared and walked to the plant, everyone knew that he was finding a spot to relieve himself, yet no one stopped him. Among the grads giggling and losing it, Branch hid his face embarrassedly.

After comforting himself and realizing a big crowd was staring at and laughing at him, Charlie left, and the ceremony went on as planned. However, it was undeniable that the hilarious, surprising scene kept moving front and back in many grads' and guests' heads. Branch admitted that more than the principal, valedictorian, or anyone at the ceremony, Charlie got the best crowd reaction of the day, and he loved it.

Besides, if Branch thought the fun ended soon, he would be so wrong. His sister still went to the same school, and Charlie would probably ambush students with his doggy logic and visiting routine. Hence, the story about a black dog peeing at a graduation ceremony would be hot and viral for a long time to come.
