The 18th episode of Fire Country Season 1 officially airs on April 7th with the title "Off The Rail". According to the synopsis, in this episode, the crews come to the scene of a train crash. However, the rescue might spiral out of control as they discover that the train is full of illegal merchandise. Robin, an enigmatic modern-day train hopper, assists the injured patients.
This episode marks the acting debut of the country superstar Kane Brown, and you could read until the end to find out everything that happens to his character!
This kind of private firefighters are often looked down on by the normal firefighters. Normally, Manny would have rejected the offer without hesitation. But now he needs money urgently, and this job pays so well that it could help him get rid of all his debts. Moreover, Manny can't deny that Faye is really attractive, and she does hint that she might want to "mix business with pleasure". This is definitely an offer that he can't pass on easily.
In the promotion materials, the producers mention Faye as a "key occuring character". She will become Manny's new love interest, who is attempting to take him away from Three Rock and make him her own. There are going to be some huge changes in Manny's life, so let's hope that he would be able to make the right choice.
During the rescue, the firefighters suddenly discover a loaded cargo full of illicit jet fuel. It turns out that the train conductor has accepted some money to deliver them and pretend like he doesn't know about this. The jet fuel worsens the fire, so Manny decides to call Faye and ask her to let them use the modern gadgets of her company.
As we all know, Kane Brown has officially made his acting debut through the role of Robin. It's such a shame that his amount of screentime is pretty short in this episode. However, during an interview with TVInsider, executive producer Max Thieriot revealed that Robin's full-of-cash bag "is not over yet". Therefore, there's a high possibility that we would get to meet Kane Brown again on Fire Country.
Bode is clearly still nervous. There is nothing certain at the moment, and the unpredictable future makes him feel afraid, especially when he has already gotten rejected once. Luckily, he has a lot of good people around him, who always do their best to encourage and support him. Gabriela has even started imagining about their future together.
Manny tries his best to look out for Bode. He knows that Bode is beginning to self-sabotage. Manny understands Bode's inferior feelings as he has also gone through the similar situation.
Manny makes sure that Bode is safe, to the point that he even put himself in danger to protect Bode while executing their mission. While it's fortunate that he manages to make it out alive, his action really scares everyone, including his daughter Gabriela.
During conversations with Vince and Sharon, Gabriela and Jack warns that Eve is not in a good condition, and they should take action before something worse happens. Vince realizes that Jack is right - Eve is about to break down after suffering a year of trauma due to her job as a firefighter. She lost her friend Rebecca in her first time leading an inmate crew, and she was really beating herself up.
Her parents thought that she was getting better because "she has gone so quiet", but now they know that they are wrong. Eve needs her parents, and they will try their best to give her every support she needs from now on. Vince decides to let Eve take a break. Hopefully Eve could use this time to find a counselor and heal herself.
