Fantasy Island Season 2 Episode 11 Cast, Guest Stars & Recap: "Peaches And The Jilted Bride"

In the latest Fantasy Island episode, Ruby is left heartbroken by Isla's repeated behavior of disappearing without a warning for days and then showing up like nothing happened. Elena advises Ruby to move on from Isla. She thinks that Ruby should accept things as they are since "it's best to believe someone when they show who they are". Elena seeks Ruby's assistance with a new guest named Laura.
Elena tries to distract Ruby from her heartbreak, but Laura's story of being left at the altar by a cowardly ex-fiancé only brings back painful memories for Ruby. Laura had hopes of finding true love despite coming from a family with a history of bad divorce, but her fiancé cowardly left her on their wedding day.
As a child of a bitter divorce, Laura was used as a pawn by her parents and couldn't even confide in them after the heartbreak. Despite Brad's imperfections, Laura thought he genuinely loved her. Now she just feels betrayed.

To help Laura heal from her heartbreak, the island brings her imaginary friend Peaches to life - the one person who always loved and supported her unconditionally.
Peaches becomes a source of comfort and support for Laura after being left at the altar. However, Peaches makes a mistake by inviting Laura's toxic parents to the island, thinking that Laura was being dramatic when describing her parents as such.
Unfortunately, Laura's parents soon turn the situation into a story about themselves, with her mother seeking praise and attention for her "good deed" and her father urging her to sue her former fiancé to recover financial losses from the cancelled wedding. This causes Laura to lash out at Peaches and her parents, who are still unable to see how their behavior is affecting their daughter.

Peaches apologizes to Laura. She tries to make things right by reading out loud from Laura's old diary, which helps confronting Laura's parents about their selfishness and failure to prioritize their daughter's needs. This helps Laura feel lighter. She finally tells her parents that she will no longer compromise so much of her life trying to satisfy them. The conversation ends with her parents apologizing and promising to do better.
Laura's parents call Brad to the island. He confesses his love for Laura, revealing that he was only trying to get away from her parents' drama. With this newfound clarity, Laura can finally move on from her heartbreak and begin a new chapter in her life.
Meanwhile, Ruby discovers that Isla is actually a mermaid. Isla had been using her siren song to manipulate her all this time. Elena had tried to protect Ruby by getting Isla to stay away from her, but Ruby criticizes her. Ruby warns Elena not to meddle in her affairs, claiming she has no right to control her life.

When Elena confides in Javier about her actions, he belatedly realizes the true reason behind their breakup. Neither Ruby nor Javier needed Elena's interference, and they both expressed the desire to make their own choices. Although Elena knows this is a mistake, she eventually decided to let them take charge of their own lives.
