Disney movies are so much more than time machines that bring us back to our childhoods and leave us with a taste of nostalgia. We grew up, but our love for Disney is constant. #1 Aladdin's flying carpet makes a cameo appearance in The Princess and the Frog.

When Tiana is walking around New Orleans in the film The Princess and the Frog, we see a clear reference to Aladdin's magic carpet, which is being hung or patted clean by a woman on a balcony.

#2 Skulls appear in Gaston's eyes during his fall.

Gaston, the arrogant and conceited hunter, turned out not to be such a skilled huntsman after all, and had an unexpected ending when he attempted to attack the Beast. When he falls from a high tower in the movie's famous scene, two skulls appear in his eyes like a bad omen, predicting his fate.

#3 Hercules hits his head on a ship he was traveling on.

You may recall that when Hercules first enters Phil's cabin, he accidentally hits his head on the Argo's mast. In Greek mythology, the Argo was a ship owned by another well-known hero, Jason. On the Argo, he led a crew of heroes, including Hercules. Surprisingly, it is said that Jason died from a blow to the head when he collided with a piece of wood from the ship, just as Hercules does in the movie scene.

#4 On the window of Beauty and the Beast, there is a Latin motto: "Vincit qui se vincit." It foreshadows the Beast's triumph over the curse.

Why? Because the phrase literally means “He conquers who conquers himself.”

#5 Ursella conjures up a Vanessa butterfly in her spell, the same name she gets later in the film.

Ursula utilizes a butterfly while casting a black magic spell to take over Ariel's voice. Vanessa is the scientific name for that insect's genus. That's the name she adopts with her new look as a lovely, delicate young lady.

#6 In Pocahontas, we see a rat in the foreground boarding the ship at the same time Governor Ratcliffe does, foreshadowing his behavior (and name) before he is introduced in the film.

During the film, we learn that he is the main antagonist in Pocahontas. And, as we all know, the Governor is extremely power-hungry and greedy.

#7 Dr. Facilier's shadow reflects skulls in The Princess and the Frog.

In the film The Princess and the Frog, the evil, ambitious wizard reflects images of skulls similar to the one from his hat in his shadow. This small detail makes his office even more sinister.

#8 When Mother Gothel hugs Rapunzel, she always kisses and touches her hair because it is the only thing she adores about her.

Mother Gothel, Rapunzel's evil foster mother, only notices her hair when she takes her in her arms. That is the only part she kisses and caresses. This is a clear hint in the film that she only loves Rapunzel for her magical hair.

#9 Rapunzel's cradle includes objects that represent some characters from the film.

At the beginning of the film Tangled, we see that baby Rapunzel is looking at a moving picture in which items shaped like animals are hanging. These creatures are all shaped like characters from the film who help or play an important role for Rapunzel.

#10 The adoption document for Stitch is actually a thank-you note to the production and creative teams.

When Lilo persuades her sister to adopt the adorable Stitch, the document she signs to keep him is actually a thank-you letter to the production team and the creators of the film, Lilo & Stitch.

#11 Aladdin's Genie writes from right to left.

Aladdin, one of Disney's most popular films, was inspired by a story from the classic collection of folk tales known as One Thousand and One Nights. These stories were popular in the Middle East, and Disney's film pays homage to Arab culture in even the smallest details. One of them is a scene in which the Genie is taking notes on Aladdin's imaginary wishes. You can see how he writes from right to left, just like in Arabic and other Middle Eastern languages.

#12 The Light that shines on Frollo, the villain, is shaped like a coffin.

In The Hunchback of Notre Dame, the cruel judge and evil Frollo plots to kill Esmeralda during the song "Hellfire." The light reflecting off of Frollo in the sequence of his evil melody is shaped like a coffin, foreshadowing his fate.

#13 Scar, unlike other lions, keeps his claws exposed and ready to use.

Claws are one of the most notable features of huge felines like lions. These are retractable and, in most cases, concealed. These claws are only used by lions when they are threatened or must defend themselves. In the film The Lion King, the evil Scar, unlike the other lions in the kingdom, keeps his threatening claws visible at all times.

#14 When asked if he had ever been arrested, Nick initially chose the answer "yes."

In the film Zootopia, Nick, a fox who happens to be a candidate for police officer, fills out an application to join the Zootopia police force. The form clearly shows that he checked the "yes" box for the question about whether he had previously committed a crime or been arrested.

#15 When Maui is transformed, his tattoo also changes into a shark.

Maui undergoes various transformations in the film Moana until he becomes half-shark, half-human; his tattoos also change with his new look, turning one of his small tattoos into a shark's head and man's legs, just like him.
