The description for The Winchesters' season 1 finale shows a reunion between John and Mary. The prequel series follows John Winchester and Mary Campbell's relationship from accidental contact to growing affection. The show, which is narrated by Supernatural's Dean Winchester, also delves into the mystery of their missing dads, as well as their efforts to hunt down terrifying monsters known as the Akrida. Drake Rodger and Meg Donnelly play John and Mary, respectively, and are joined by Nida Khurshid, Jojo Fleites, Demetria McKinney, and Bianca Kajlich in the cast. One of the concerns I think a lot of viewers have had about The Winchesters has had now is if John and Mary Winchester end up happy.
Dean gave John his diary in the finale episode and asked him to keep a hunter's journal like his father. He also requested Mary to keep a watch out for a yellow-eyed demon and offered her the Colt to use if and when he comes. Later, when John asked Mary what she saw in the portal, she responded she could see every version of herself. Before embracing her in front of the movie theater, John promised Mary that he will find a way to deal with his anger. A bell sounds at the garage, alerting them to a car out front, and John walked out to find Mary waiting for him, where she claimed she didn't know where she was going but wanted him to accompany her. They ride off into the wilderness together, pleased to be together and discover themselves.
