Liam Neeson says Star Wars is being hurt. Despite portraying a Jedi on screen, Liam Neeson appears to have joined the dark side by stating that 'too many spin-offs' have damaged the Star Wars franchise, according to his comments to fans of the series.
For fans of the prequel trilogy, his remarks will be disheartening, particularly those who are eagerly awaiting his return as Qui-Gon Jinn.

Regrettably, it appears that the actor has no plans to wield his lightsaber again, especially after his appearance on the recent episode of "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen."
When asked if he would consider returning to the Star Wars universe, Neeson informed his fans that it would not be happening and that the franchise had lost the 'magic' it once possessed.

He huffed and stated, "No, I'm not. It's diluting it to me, and it's taken away the mystery and the magic in a weird way." This is in spite of the fact that the actor made a brief cameo in the 2022 Disney+ series "Obi-Wan Kenobi," alongside Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen, who also returned to their former roles.
Even though Neeson's role in the mini-series was limited to just two lines, it was a notable moment for fans who had been anticipating the actor's appearance for over two decades.
Neeson himself acknowledged that it was enjoyable to reunite with his fellow cast members, and expressed to fans that "It was nice to do my little bit with Ewan after 25 years, you know... I love doing that."

Interestingly, Neeson has been apprehensive about returning to the franchise since his initial appearance in "The Phantom Menace," which received mixed reviews at the time. Nevertheless, the actor has not completely ruled out the possibility of returning.
In the previous year, the actor mentioned that he would contemplate a cameo in a forthcoming movie and acknowledged that he was "a bit of a snob" regarding TV series. He informed Comicbook.com, "I just like the big screen, you know?"
Given that we are currently in a Golden Age of TV, Neeson may eventually regret his statement. Disney+'s Star Wars universe has seen a swift expansion, featuring popular titles like The Book of Boba Fett and Obi Wan that have gained a significant following among fans.

Two more series, namely Ashoka and The Acolyte, are set to release this year.
Not only that, but a third season of The Mandalorian, featuring the award-winning and TikTok-breaking actor Pedro Pascal, is also slated for release later this year.
In the last ten years, there have only been four new Star Wars movies, and none have been released since 2019. Perhaps Neeson could use the Force to persuade George Lucas to make another Star Wars film?
