Aquaman 2’s release date in theaters will be on December 20, 2023 in the US and on December 29, 2023 in the UK. The initial release date was December 16, 2022, but was later moved to March 17, 2023 to give time for VFX to be completed. In order to spread out the cost of 2023's promotion, Warner Bros. then moved it to December 20, 2023.

In July, rumors circulated that Warner Bros. might delay the releases of "Dune Part Two," "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom," and "The Color Purple" until 2024.

This consideration stemmed from the ongoing strikes involving writers and actors' unions, which prohibited their members from promoting projects affiliated with struck companies during the strike. Ultimately, Warner Bros. decided to postpone only "Dune Part Two."

Although the full trailer is still a few days away, Aquaman 2 has released a teaser that provides a glimpse of the spectacle that awaits.

Obviously Jason Momoa will be reprising his role as Arthur Curry, aka Aquaman and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta.
