Besides its compelling Multiverse storyline and countless versions of Spider-Man, Sony’s Spider-Verse franchise also stands out thanks to its aesthetic animations and design. Especially, the suits in the movies are exceptionally well done, considering how many Spider-People there are in the entire franchise.

From Gwen Stacy’s vibrant outfit to Miguel O’Hara’s intimidating yet futuristic design, every suit in the Spider-Verse stands out and cements their own place in the vast Multiverse. After all, a great hero needs an equally stunning getup.

Today, let’s take a look at 10 of the best outfits there are in Sony’s Spider-Verse, and hopefully, they’ll keep delivering the good stuff in the threequel.

#10. Spider-Man Noir

The original Spider-Man Noir in the comics is already pretty good, but Into the Spider-Verse takes it to another level. Sony adds a massive black trench coat and the fedora to the outfit, making it a bit more mafia-themed and creating a more mysterious vibe for Peter Parker. It also goes surprisingly well with the movie’s animation.

#9. Peni Parker

The unique thing about Penny Parker is that she doesn’t own a suit, but an entire mecha robot that can do literally everything a Spider-Person can. If you’re a Gundam or Evangelion fan, you’ll fall in love with the robot right away. It’s a shame Peni didn’t have much spotlight in the two movies. Hopefully, she and the robot will have a more prominent role in Beyond the Spider-Verse.

Sony really has outdone themselves with Pavitr’s design in the sequel, Across the Spider-Verse, giving him an elaborate outfit that greatly resembles his Indian roots. While other Spider-Men prioritize efficiency over design, Pavitr proves that he can do both. I mean, just look at how many golden accessories he has on his getup!

#7. Peter B. Parker’s Bath Suit

The current Peter B. Parker is everything our beloved Spider-Man deserves - growing old, getting married, and having a kid. Now a dad, Peter clearly has turned his life around, and his latest bathing outfit in Across the Spider-Verse further shows how happy and fulfilling he is right now. You earned it, buddy!

#6. Ben Reilly/Scarlet Spider

It’s a shame that Ben Reilly only has a rather comedic relief role in Across the Spider-Verse, but in a few scenes he’s in, he manages to get us on our feet with his sleek Scarlet Spider design. Ben’s outfit stays largely the same to the comic version, but sometimes, you can’t change what’s already perfect.

Making your first superhero suit is never easy, and Miles Morales is no exception. However, he has done a great job creating his first official suit, with the primary black-and-red color scheme, and a neatly done spider logo sprayed in the middle. While the design is far from perfect, the outfit brings out the best in Miles: talented, creative, and never stops striving for something greater.

Much like Ben, Gwen’s Spider-Verse suit doesn’t change much from its comic counterpart. The black-and-white color scheme works surprisingly well with her cyan-and-pink theme in the background, creating a mysterious yet charming aura about our Spider-G

#3. Miles Morales’ Across The Spider-Verse Suit

Miles has grown bigger and become more mature in the sequel, which means he needs an equally impressive new suit to boot. And the movie’s designers have done an excellent job upgrading his suit from the first movie. Now bearing a much sleeker and more neat design, the Across the Spider-Verse suit is a worthy upgrade from the first movie.

The only downside? His armpits look like they’re bleeding.

#2. Hobie Brown/ Spider-Punk

Watching Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, we truly feel like Hobie comes from another universe. Being made in an entirely different frame rate than the others, Hobie always looks like he’s in a world of his own, constantly glitching and grazing the scene like a stop-motion p in an animated movie. 

Hobie’s unorthodox frame rate also contemplates his design well, making the Spider-Punk suit one of the best in the franchise.

#1. Miguel O’Hara/Spider-Man 2099

To be honest, Hobie Brown should have taken the first place, if not for this walking menace of a costume. To quote Homelander from The Boys, this futuristic suit is “perfect, down to every minute detail.” The dark blue color theme with the massive red spider logo makes Miguel look incredibly intimidating. Yet, we can’t take our eyes off him, either.

Miguel’s new suit in Across the Spider-Verse is a massive upgrade from the prequel, with a more minimalistic design that really brings out the contrast in color. Combined with Spider-Man 2099 haunting musical theme, Miguel O’Hara looks to be a real threat every time he steps onto the scene.
