Mesmerizing Sight Of Huge, Rare, Magnificent Albino Manta-Ray Caught On Camera

Have you ever seen an albino animal in real life? Albino results from the lack of pigments in skin and hair, which can happen to both humans and other species. Individuals born with rare genetic mutations are often seen with white fur/skin and pink eyes.
Since it’s hard to find white animals, people have considered them sacred creatures and mentioned them in plenty of mythologies and myths. Sadly, nowadays, most of them have their names on the list of endangered species.

While albino land animals are rarely seen, it’s even harder to catch a glance of white marine inhabitants. That’s why everyone is excited to see an magnificent albino manta-ray spotted in the region close to Playas del Coco, Papagayo, Islas Catalinas, and Culebra Bay, Costa Rica.
A 22-second video showed a huge white manta ray coming up near the surface of the ocean. The manta ray is one of the rarest albino animals, so this sighting is really incredible.

Rolbin Garcia, a scuba diver instructor and a photographer for the Ecotourism agency based in Playas del Coco, got the luck to capture this majestic animal on camera. Though these enormous species travel across the open ocean, they often swim at depths of at least 1200 feet and even up to 4000 feet. The food source of the manta ray comes from the deep sea, so they barely come close to the surface.
