Who really holds the opinion that life is consistently dull and boring? Despite the challenges and unexpected twists that life throws at you, the best thing you can do is laugh them off, even in the silliest of situations. Jess Rae, an Australian artist and mother, aims to accomplish this by posting humorous comics about her daily life. Her “Doodley Squat Comics” comic art is the perfect place to turn to for humorous reading that will make you smile! Check Out The Most Relaxing Comics by Jess Rae Here
Before she started drawing, Jess Rae worked as a projectionist. The artist used to work at a bead store with shiny beads. She was becoming sick of all the words on her Facebook feed, so she started drawing cartoons using a kids’ drawing app. Jess merely drew with her finger on her phone to start the whole thing. When her brother asked the local newspaper if they’d consider publishing her comics, she quickly upgraded to an iPad and an Apple Pencil. She changed from Doodle Buddy to Clip Studio so she could build layers and draw with vector lines.
The encouragement Jess received from those who shared and loved her cartoons at one point served as her major inspiration to create. Because of the Instagram algorithm update, her works’ popularity, unfortunately, fell precipitously before COVID-19. She no longer pays as much attention to the numbers and draws more freely today. When one takes a modern look at her comics, she depicts a range of problems that women deal with every day. She has tried to accurately convey her confusion so that readers can empathize with her feelings. If you enjoyed her artwork, please visit her page and offer some love.
Jess currently creates a lot of graphics for newspapers, websites, and logos. Most recently, she made a podcast title for the Australian ABC. Let’s get to the series of her humorous works of art that we’ve listed below!
