Stories of masked heroes coming to the rescue have been a part of our culture since we were little. To celebrate our shared love of comic books, many of us have dressed up as our favorite heroes, and countless others have cheered on these characters in the
Movies. It's hard not to believe in the existence of a multiverse populated by superheroes after learning that some of the greatest cinematic heroes also have a real-life narrative to share. Today, we list 9

The man portraying the Hulk has his own inspiring tale to tell about discovering the hero inside. The dream about a brain tumor that Ruffalo had in 2001. After experiencing facial paralysis and hearing loss in his left ear, he decided to see a doctor out of concern and was eventually diagnosed with an acoustic neuroma.
