Man Who Can't Adapt To Daughter's Cat Abandons It, Then Woman Blows Up On Him Infront Of His Family

Moving on together marks a new journey that requires much more responsibility and commitment from the two people. There are some things they have to learn, like settling on the new life, getting adapted to the new environment, and learning to live with new people. Such things require a lot of patience, effort, tolerance, and humility. An entitled man who has recently moved in with his fiancee has kicked her daughter's cat he hated out of their house. Then, the woman blew up on him in front of his family.

The story starts with him (Eric) complaining about her daughter's cat for being 'weirdly' sweet and quiet. While cats are mischievous and curious in general, some cats are rather quiet and sweet. It's just a matter of their personality. Even our characteristics are various!
Anyways, he started being more irrational by masking the list of spaces the cat is allowed in the house, and things it can/can't touch. When the daughter showed her the list, she became angry, the two ended up having an argument together.
One day, while the woman and her daughter went out for a while, he kicked the cat out before driving to his home with his parents. It took 2 hours before the cat was seen again at a neighbor's house. Angry and shocked, the woman turned to her fiance criticizing him in front of his family for abandoning her daughter's cat.

Do you think that OP was rude to act that way? OP's fiance, Eric, started blaming her back for humiliating him in front of his family. He thought he was not respected. He has been staying at a friend's house since then and stopped any communication with her.
The story shared on r/AITA has attracted 25.3k upvotes, and a lot of people have shown their opinion in the comment. They seemed united in giving their replies that OP was not an A**hole even though she had publicly shamed her fiance. However, if she got married to him, she would be the a**hole for her daughter.
