OP's Story Of Her Parents Adopting Strange Dog, Realizing It's Actually Wolf Hybrid That Is The Most Wholesome Dog Ever

If there is anything we all love, it's the dog stories. We love to hear interesting narratives from owners who dress up their pets with fancy clothes, capture the moment they walk them on the streets, take them in their cars, or come across their most funny gestures…After a long working day, nothing can treat us better than these doggo stories on the Internet. But, the story we show you today is different. There will be nothing like this in this particular story, and actually, this one is not quite about the dog.
Without taking your time anymore, we'll let you know what specifically this story is about. It brings you back to the mid-'80s. The original poster (OP) wrote about her parent's dog whom they decided to adopt after they tied the knot and moved in together. To be more specific, it was in 1987, even before OP was born.
As shared in the story, OP's mother had been living with animals since she was just a child. She had her dog (Cops), but he died of cancer soon after her wedding. With their love for animals, her parents decided to go to a shelter and adopt a new dog.

Little did they know the dog the shelter offered them was not just a dog, but a Special Dog, for the experienced owners, and even on favorable terms. That dog was called Mazel, who weighed almost 100 pounds and won the hearts of her new owners at first sight.
However, it took them a few minutes to notice something wrong with the dog. Her behavior was rather strange; she opened the latches and hunted squirrels without barking.

Mazel seemed to understand all the commands they gave, but she always needed some time to think before obeying. To make sure everything was right with her, her parents decided to take the dog to the vet. To their surprise, they had adopted a wolf!

Turns out, Mazel was a mix between a wolf and a husky. OP's parents still wanted to keep her because they were confident that they could raise her well. However, Dr. Hamada warned them that the wolfdog should be kept away from little kids…
If you are reading this and feeling concerned for OP's family members at the same time, you'll need to read the story till the end.
Two years later, the mother got pregnant... and something magical happened after that.

When OP, as a newborn, was brought home, Mazel immediately accepted her with delight as her own puppy– and assumed the responsibility of taking care of her. Mazel slept under the crib, and helped the little girl learn to walk by clinging to her thick fur – and one day, Dr. Hamada was horrified to see how the girl stuck her head right into Mazel’s mouth to look at her teeth.

OP grew up under her parent's care and Mazel's love. The dog has been her sister, her mom, who always tried to protect her. Accompanied by Mazel, OP overcame her school days and became mature.

When Mazel was 17 years old, OP’s parents decided to repair their house, and the workers often treated the wolfdog with hamburgers every day, until they saw her handle “terrible beast”. At the age of 19, Mazel passed away, according to OP, but she always stayed in her family members' hearts.
