Apartment Complex Stirred Up The Internet By Publicly Shaming Households Late On Rent
Realistically speaking, most of us are only a couple of missed paychecks away from living on the street. Dealing with landlords is always a prickly experience, especially if you, the tenant, have some financial issues. Of course, we all have some ups and downs during the year. It's something that couldn't be more common. Still, landlords are incredibly excellent at sniffing out $20 short in your pay. Yet, their ability to turn a blind eye to that gross black mold problem is nothing short of magical.
Case in point, there has been a viral video posted by @therichexperince. It depicted two signs on the outside of an apartment building, one of which stated that rent is due, and the other showed all the units. For those who had paid the rent, the unit numbers were crossed. And for those who hadn't, their numbers were circled IN RED. Is that a new way to shame people with financial issues or something?
