Redditor Gets Called Out For Lying To Her Cat

Any cat owner knows that cats don't always follow what their humans say. They think in their logic and often love to do what they like. This explains why owners sometimes fail to understand their cats' behaviors.
Then, there is an effective way these people use to make cats follow what they want them to do - the "treats". It is a common method not only to teach children but also to train cats/dogs. It means when your cats accomplish something they're told to do, you'll give them a reward and encourage them to do it better the next time.
But, what if the cat finishes the trick but doesn't get the treats as you promised? Is it OK if we lie to our cat like that? This woman doesn't think it's really a problem until her girlfriend starts complaining about her lying to their cat and disappointing it. She asks Reddit if she's really wrong in this situation.
