"Now They Owe Him $450K": Man Won A Lawsuit Over An Office Birthday Party, And It's The Talk Of All Of Twitter

Mental issues are real, and people should learn to respect personal boundaries. A Kentucky man recently got fired for having a panic attack during his office birthday party. He then won a lawsuit, and now the office owes him $450k. This man had anxiety so he requested his co-workers NOT throw him a party. But they did it anyway.

Usually, he would eat lunch in his car. He has anxiety and has experienced panic attacks as a result of being the center of attention. However, his former coworkers and employer "forgot" his request and proceeded to hold a party, which indeed stressed him out. And even worse, the next day, he was brought into a meeting where the lawsuit says he was "confronted and criticized" for his reaction to the party he'd specifically told them would cause a panic attack. Then he was fired, after a few days.

This became a hot topic on Twitter and people were all talking about this

Even when they were in the wrong, they didn't even think that the fault was on them

People who don't know how it is to have a panic attack will never understand the troubles they may cause to someone else. It's literally the worst feeling

The intention is good, maybe. But how you do it matters. And it's the only thing that matters here

The lesson? People should recognize and respect the boundaries others put up. Whether or not they have mental issues, it's how they protect themselves and also others. We hope that this will be a lesson for companies to be more considerate with their decisions.
