The Whole Reddit Stands By OP Who Found Stray Cat And Refused To Return It To Owner

Some people have great interactions with pets, and if they come across any cat and dog in danger, they don't hesitate to help them. These people have really warm hearts, but sometimes, what they take in return is not thanks and gratitude, but trouble.
This Redditor found herself in a bunch of problems after six months of caring for a feral cat and finally being called a b*tch when she refused to give it back to a somewhere woman who insisted she was the cat's owner.
Back 6 months ago, the cat showed up at OP's house looking dirty but skittish. OP and her cats were friendly with him and gradually earned his trust. The cat that was feral at first was a totally different creature after 4 months. As he decided OP was his owner, OP took him to the vet to have his fleas, worms, and eyes removed, his tooth extracted, and his claws fixed.
Then, there was a woman who posted the cat on Facebook, saying the mother cat was missing and that she needed to find the kitten. But when the woman demanded the cat, OP said she didn't want to.
She is now getting blamed by her sister and her family. Please read the full story to understand OP's situation.

Here's how people reacted to the story. Most of them agree that OP was not an a**hole for choosing not to return the cat. She was not selfish, but she was protecting him.
