OP Gets Called Out For Refusing To Give Up Flight Seat To A Lady Who Visits Dying Family Member But Brings Along Guide Dog
An original poster (OP) has recently shared on r/AITA how she was blamed for not giving up her seat to a woman who was about to have an urgent flight to her sick family member because of her guide dog. After it was shared on Reddit, the post gained 14k upvotes and 3.8k comments, most of which were negative.
OP, who refused to give any personal details, has long been suffering from a dog allergy, which means she can't stay in a closed space with dogs.
Unfortunately, she found out that she was about to fly with a woman having a guide dog. She brought up the problem to the flight attendant, and they informed the lady asking if she would delay taking her flight until the next one came in 2 hours.
As she was visiting a sick family member, the lady replied she couldn't miss her flight. Then, OP was called on to cancel her flight and wait for the next one. OP didn't agree, too, with the excuse that "I'd paid for my vacation".
In the end, the lady had to delay her business, but she was still mad at OP. Watch the full story here.

As OP asked whether she was wrong for acting this way, Reddit joined the discussion and finally decided that she is an a**hole. They claimed that OP's behaviors were kind of selfish and unreasonable. If she had an allergy, she should have informed the airline in advance, instead of waiting until everything was already prepared.People blamed her for taking a vacation more important than a family member. What would you do if you were the OP? Would you do the same as her? Please let us know your opinion in the comment.Share this article
