Redditors Prove That Girl Is NTA For Not Giving Away Her Cat To Help Her Allergic Dad
Sometimes, we are put in a dilemma that forces us to make a hard decision between one of two important things. An original poster (OP) named @mvoleksy found herself in the dilemma in which her family made her choose either her dad or her three-year-old cat. OP, in the end, chose to protect her cat.
@mvoleksy had two cats which her parents gave her on her 16th and 17th birthday. The second cat that she called C was super attached to her because it suffered from separation anxiety.
The thing was that her dad was allergic to C, and the situation turned worse if he had a long business trip and came back home. OP bought a system that helped clean all fur and dander whenever she left her room, but it wasn't a perfect solution.
Recently, OP had surgery and her mom suggested giving away C for a pretty good reason - she still had another one to be with. OP, however, refused that because she knew C only had her in its life. Her father was out for work every three months and he was only home for one. In addition, OP planned to move to another country next year, so she thought it was unnecessary to give up on her cat.
Firstly, OP's parents got her two cats while knowing that the dad was allergic to them. They shouldn't have given her the cats.
