Katie Newhouser is a UPS driver who has been working in her field for more than 15 years. As a part of her job, she's been meeting more people than she can remember, not to mention dogs. But there is one dog that she can't mistake for someone else, the one that used to be her friend and now becomes her family member.
Everyone, meet Leo, the PitBull sweetie that takes a very special space in her heart.

Back to the time Katie first met Leo, he was owned by a lady named Tina, and their close bond went beyond words. Leo was Katie's client dog. He kept waiting for the woman at a place where she ended up at least a few times a month.

“Whenever I’d turn up at the complex, he’d apparently go crazy, and he’d want to come down and see me,” she told The Dodo. “He just took a liking to me for some reason. He’d always come up and lick me.”

The driver's connection with Leo and his human continued for a year, until one day, when she came back from her holiday and visited them, she learned that the dog's owner passed away.
Tina's son was left responsible for his mom's dog. However, he soon realized he was unable to provide Leo with enough love and affection the dog had been used to. He was too busy to take care of him.

Katie, without hesitation, offered to adopt the dog, forming one of the most beautiful human-animal friendships ever found.
“I knew he had nowhere to go, and I didn’t want him to end up in a shelter, and with somebody who was not going to be good for him,” she said.

Their relationship grew up over the years. Although Katie had had several dogs before, she knew that Leo could fit right in and be a perfect match to her family. Now, the doggie lives with Katie and his doggie brothers. We know that he is living in the love and support he needs.
