Man With PPD Asks If He's Wrong To Threaten Harassing Neighbor With His Dog, And Reddit Says "NO"
One of the most dominating factors that keep us thinking before moving to a new house is the neighborhood. Well, it's good if we have supportive, affectionate, and caring neighbors. But, what if you just start living in a town trying to cope with troublesome neighbors?
This is the case of @mydoghatesyou917, a Reddit user who shared on r/AITA a story he was bothered by an "aggressive predator" neighbor in a park. The twenty-eight-year-old man told that he owned personal protection dog (PPD) that was well-trained not to bark or bite humans without permission.
One day, OP (original poster) was running with his dog in the park while coming across a neighbor guy who was looking for lost keys. The guy started asking if he had seen his keys anywhere else on the grass. It was getting dark, so he asked OP for a light to help the search. Then, the next questions boomed out, and OP started feeling uncomfortable being asked too many questions at a time.
When he was about to leave, the park guy stopped him to ask about his dog and showed that he wanted to pet him. Of course, OP hoped not. The guy continued grabbing the dog's leash, and that really pissed OP off. "Oaken backed us up, low growl, showed his teeth. Didn’t snap, didn’t bite. We left." He shared how he escaped the man.
Coming home, he decided to post the strange guy on the Neighborhood app. But, things went downhill as his wife read the post and started telling other neighbors about OP's “aggressive attack dog.” Read the full post here.
