Black Man Shares His Story Of Being Racialized For Owning Golden Retriever And Gets A Lot Of Support

In the past, Black people were treated unequally due to their color bar. They had no rights and privileges, worked in the worst conditions, and were segregated in public places. Although the Civil Rights Act of 1964 has drastically changed the way people think and behave with this community, nowadays, we still hear stories of people getting into trouble just because they are black.
An original poster (OP) has recently shared on r/tifu his terrible day when he intended to chill out with his dog and some food but ended up being racially profiled by a female deliverer.
In the post, he, a black man, lived with his Golden Retriever dog who often hangs out with neighbor doggos. One day, he wanted to chill out in the yard with his dog and some food ordered from the delivery. He couldn't expect that this decision would result in a regretful mistake.
He and the neighbor shared a fence so that his dog can enjoy the coss-door playtime with its friends in the neighbor's yard. When the man called his Retriever to return to him using some 'runaway' game, it accidentally made the delivery girl think that he was stealing the dog.

Well, there were many factors that led to the mistake, but the most considerable factor was due to the woman's mindset towards her client and black people in general. "Who says that a black guy can not own a Golden Retriever?" But instead of considering that, she contacted the police reporting the 'stolen' pooch.

As you can expect, cops quickly arrived at the OP's house and asked if they can investigate the dog. Here is how the story went on.

Gladly, everything worked out in the end, but maybe, they ruined the man's day and his emotions.

After reading the story, a lot of people showed their sympathy for the man. They agreed he shouldn't have been racialized and wanted people to change their prejudice against black people.
