Watch Touching Video Of Two Circus Elephants Reuniting After 22 Years Apart

While animals and humans live different lives, it's not hard to find out the similarities they share. And there's a thing that rules creatures of all kinds - the emotional spectrum. Life gives us the chance to go through a variety of feelings and emotions, and animals do experience the same!
These two elephants show us an example of how remarkably deep animal emotions can run. Shirley and Jenny, two former circus elephants already had a touching and heart-warming reunion after 22 years of separation.

When two pachyderms were small, they were trained to perform together in several shows before being sold to different camps.
After over two decades, keepers at Elephant Sanctuary were given a chance to witness such an emotional moment when the pair recognized each other again. As soon as their eyes met, they seemingly cheered, celebrated, and kept attached to each other.

If you had stayed at that moment, you'd have burst into tears. The two wrap their trunks around each other in a loving embrace through the bar and tried to climb with each other. Watch the documentary here:

However, in 2006, Carol Buckley, the Executive Director of the Sanctuary was regretted to inform that Jenny passed away due to a severe illness. When she died, she stayed beside Shirley and her caregivers. We hope Shirley can live happily with other friends under the love of the sanctuary staff.
