#1 Miriam “Midge” Maisel — The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

Miriam Maisel, from The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. That people like that character at all is entirely a testament to Rachel Brosnahan's brilliant acting. When judged by her actions alone, Midge is a privileged, sheltered, borderline alcoholic, who destroys lives on the regular and suffers no consequences; never learns from her mistakes; never grows or changes in any noticeable way, and has no self-awareness nor awareness in general of how her life choices affect and hurt those around her. #2 Amy March — Little Women

I have hated her since I first read Little Women when I was 11 years old! How the fuck can the most recent adaptation try and make her the feminist? Giving her all those dialogues that the real Amy would never even dream of! She is supposed to be a feminist? The girl who only ever focussed on clothes and ribbons and laces? The one who destroyed her sister's writing? The girl who got to run off and enjoy Europe while Beth died and Jo suffered? The one who got the emotional support of Laurie? And then got to live like a rich lady, while one of her sisters lost her husband? She was the weakest of them all, and she got the very best of everything. (sekhmet0108)
#3 Dobby — Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

When he intercepted all those letters for Harry, I was so annoyed at him for that. (Kamiiruruma)
Dobby is just a manipulative control freak. ( asgphotography)
He is not at all as kind as he seems at first glance. When I first saw the movies, I liked it. And now I have reviewed it and I understand that his acquaintance with Harry was terrible. And meaningless. (ceepculm)
#4 Carrie Bradshaw — Sex and the City

Carrie Bradshaw is self-absorbed, not a good friend and just the worst. (magnifiquechaos)
After the episode where she cheated on Aiden, I stopped watching. I was so done with Carrie. She became such a villain to me. (No-Head-9669)
#5 Serena van der Woodsen — Gossip Girl
Source: © Gossip Girl / Warner Bros. Television and co-producers
This girl has no self-control. She's always hooking up with someone even if they are married, Nate's cousin and Nate himself, like he was just like her for cheating on Blair. She has the style and the look for the stan factor.. and that's it. (stellaspeacegh)
#6 Meredith Grey — Grey’s Anatomy

She’s sulky, self-absorbed, and petulantly self-righteous. I don’t think I’ve ever hated a character more. (ForsakenGarlic904)
#7 Rory Gilmore — Gilmore Girls
Source: © Gilmore Girls / Warner Bros. Television and co-producers
Rory is the worst, most selfish person on the planet who has made the lives of everyone around her worse. She has learned absolutely nothing, she hasn’t grown up at all, and she can’t fathom why the world won’t just give her what she thinks she deserves. (GuestCartographer)
#8 Ross Geller — Friends

I was okay with Ross up until the moment when he arrives at Rachel’s office with a picnic. He completely ignores everything she says. It’s as if he doesn’t see her, but only the idea of her. I was incensed. (Herself99900)
#9 Piper Chapman — Orange Is the New Black

I fucking hated Piper in Orange is the New Black. To be honest, that whole show was a shitshow and I don't know why it was such a zeitgeist when it was coming out. (Ritka94)
#10 Elena Gilbert — The Vampire Diaries
Source: © The Vampire Diaries / Warner Bros. Television and co-producers
She made everything about her. She was always the victim in her mind. She fell in love with Damon even though he essentially raped Caroline in season 1. (anonymoustrashpandas)
#11 Sheldon Cooper — The Big Bang Theory
Source: © The Big Bang Theory / Warner Bros. Television and co-producers
The worst part of Sheldon isn't that he's an obnoxious, over-sensitive, enabled twat. The worst part of Sheldon is that if you watch "Young Sheldon", you understand that none of the lessons he was taught in early life about humility, maturity, and being a good person stuck. (AlmightyRuler)
#12 Lily Aldrin — How I Met Your Mother
Source: © How I Met Your Mother / 20th Century Fox Television and co-producers
She was such a toxic character. She made a life changing decision behind Marshall's back and left him, then wanted him back as if she totally didn't just betray him. Then when called out she leaves and makes him feel guilty. Could not stand her. There's more but this is the big one. (NotSoGreatOldOne)
#13 John “J.D.” Dorian — Scrubs

Dr. John Dorian (JD) on Scrubs. Love the show, love each character, but JD's imagination and immaturity becomes super annoying the more you watch the show. (DaveDavidsen)
#14 Eleven — Stranger Things
Source: © Stranger Things / Netflix and co-producers
Her character was interesting in season 1, but after that it became very repetitive. She just screams once in a while and cries a lot lol. (all_names__weretaken)
#15 Amy Pond — Doctor Who
Source: © Doctor Who / BBC Studios and co-producers
She’s awful to her boyfriend-then-husband, tries to cheat on him, is dismissive and rude and only improved as a character much later, right before she leaves the show. I don’t understand why people love her. (silvermoon11931)
#16 Tony Stark — Avengers: Age of Ultron
Source: © Avengers: Age of Ultron / Marvel Studios and co-producers
I was done with Tony by the third Iron Man movie. Watching him constantly fuck up while not learning his lesson got irritating real fast. It always seemed like his character arc was on repeat in each movie he appeared in. (Fluid-Butterfly7694)
