12 Costumes in Harry Potter That Revealed Formidable Secrets About the Characters' Story

#1 Dolores Umbridge and pink

Dolores Umbridge stands out from the crowd because she avoids dark hues and ragged clothing. On the contrary, she dresses in "adorable" pink and she loves cats, as evidenced by a scarf that Temime said was one of her favorite items and one of the most contrasting with Umbridge's unpleasant personality.
And that particular accessory has a telling feature that reveals a lot about her personality and preferences. Her scarf, which seems to be designed in the shape of a cat, looks almost like a snake — it has a small head and a lengthy tail. As a result, the costume designer hints that Umbridge secretly worships Lord Voldemort.

#2 Ginny Weasley's passion for fashion

Temime stated that most performers simply dress up and have no opinion about anything. The actress who plays Ron's younger sister, Ginny Weasley, was an exception to this rule. Bonnie is the daughter of two well-known jewelers, so she acquired their fashion sense, which she used effectively in the film.

Many changes occurred with Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, including a new director (Alfonso Cuarón), the main characters no longer appearing to be children, and the addition of costume designer Jany Temime to the production. For this film, Temime determined that the main trio should wear clothes they would "wear on a normal day," therefore she left behind the famous Hogwarts school uniform to indicate that Harry, Ron, and Hermione were teenagers.

At first impression, Hagrid appears to be a pleasing stern, and unkempt giant dressed in a worn-out fur coat. Behind this fairly tough exterior, though, is a gentle and sensitive person.
As we all know, Hagrid doesn't have a magic wand because it was shattered while he was a student at the Ministry of Magic. He did, however, keep a piece of the wand and put it inside an umbrella. The color pink indicates that Hagrid is a soft and sensitive guy. The stories about the world's most famous wizard describe Harry's eyes as green (like his mother's). Originally, actor Daniel Radcliffe was supposed to wear green contact lenses because he has blue eyes, but the concept was rejected because they harmed his eyes. As a result, the plot was modified to give Harry Potter blue eyes.

The Christmas ball is an iconic scene that took place in the fourth episode of the saga, This scene depicts a very different aspect of the magical world, as well as the key characters. Hermione's clothing, which Temime describes as "dollish," seeks to demonstrate that Hermione can be pretty sensitive beneath her "tough" persona.

When Evanna Lynch was cast as Luna Lovegood, her love of the Harry Potter series became widely known. Lynch collaborated closely with Temime to portray the eccentric Ravenclaw house girl. Their objective was to create clothes that her character would wear to represent her unique character. She assisted in the creation of jewelry for Luna Lovegood.

The costume designers did everything they could to make the most faithful and observant fans melt. Look at the outfits Harry and Neville are wearing in the final film while battling for Hogwarts. In the final installment of the series, we see the entire school fighting Lord Voldemort's followers. This moment was absolute chaos for the designers and dressmakers since they had to demonstrate the wear and tear of the clothes due to the battle, tearing between 10 and 15 sets of clothes per day over the 4 months it took to film the scene.

#10 The change of Lucius Malfoy’s wardrobe

Lucius usually dresses in perfect attire and he even used a walking stick like a true gentleman. However, in the final part, before the ultimate Battle of Hogwarts, we can observe his style change. He is no longer an aristocratic character, but rather a warrior. His new quilted leather suit with big shoulders resembles armor.
The number of the prisoner of Azkaban is tattooed on Lucius' neck in the film's final scene. Overall, it is apparent that after returning from Azkaban, Potter changed: he lost his gloss and ceased shaving and caring for his hair. As a result, the villain's moral and physical loss is evident.

Temime wanted the Hogwarts uniforms to be of the best quality, therefore she went to great lengths to design them. The ties were made of the finest silk, making the uniforms the most expensive in the tale.
