Although none of the mysteries depicted in the Netflix reboot have been conclusively solved as of yet, there have been developments in the following cases:
Lester Eubanks: In March 2021, several months after the episode "Death Row Runaway" broadcast on the fugitive from jail Lester Eubanks, the police in the Los Angeles area believed that they were finally getting closer to capturing him. It is unknown whether or not those leads were correct; however, law enforcement still has not captured Eubanks, and he is still considered a wanted fugitive.
JoAnn Romain: Tim Matouk was one of the key suspects in his first cousin's unexplained death, which is at the heart of the "Lady in the Lake" episode. The death of Tim's first cousin is at the center of the episode. He chose not to take part in the actual program, but he later consented to an interview with one of the show's writers, during which he categorically rejected the allegations.
Stolen Kids: In the penultimate episode of Unsolved Mysteries volume 2, the show looked into the case of two infants who went missing within only a few months of each other in Harlem in 1989. The years 1989 and 1990 were both years in which the disappearances occurred. In November 2020, the moms provided their DNA to genetic databases, expecting that it may assist in locating their missing children.
Rey Rivera: Rey Rivera, featured in the first episode, is thought to have committed himself, but the circumstances surrounding his death have been questioned. Rey Rivera was killed in the first episode. As a result of forensic specialist Miryam Moya's examination, new hypotheses have surfaced that appear to disprove the idea that the deceased committed suicide.

Alonzo Brooks: Alonzo was reported missing and was confirmed to have passed away later. The episode titled "No Ride Home" focused on his case and discussed it in detail. Since the show aired, the official Unsolved Mysteries account has posted a genuine "update" on the Twitter account revealing that the FBI learned that a second party had happened the night Alonzo disappeared in La Cygne, Kansas. This information was revealed after the show aired.
Allegedly, after a fight broke out at the other party, the attendees departed and went to the party at the farmhouse, where Alonzo was last seen. In the month leading up to the show's broadcast, the FBI reopened the investigation and made a reward of one hundred thousand dollars available to anyone who had information on the case.
Lena Chapin: There is an active and dedicated subreddit for online sleuths on closing some of these cold cases. After her episode, "Missing Witness," aired, they worked to dig up whatever information they could on Lena Chapin. They were determined to find out what had happened to her. Even Netflix contributed by making available all of the material that was cut from the show and a comprehensive Google Doc that contained information left out of the presentation. It is nonetheless an interesting update on the case, even though the content in question has not yet led to the discovery of a fresh lead.
