10+ Great Deleted Scenes That Reveal Fascinating Angles Of Movies

Not all scenes shot during filmmaking will inevitably make it into the final cut. There are plenty of scenes that were once intended to be included in the final movies but were deleted between filming and their movie’s ultimate release for different reasons. Sometimes it is about limited broadcasting time or finding the right flow.
However, some scenes definitely should never have been cut because they are peak good content. Fortunately, we can see several great scenes being left on the cutting room floor and only seeing the light of day thanks to the directors who decided to release extended versions. These scenes are pretty great that help the audience answer questions.

#1 Gone with the Wind

Because the movie went through 3 directors so many scenes had to be reshot. We can notice that at the beginning when Scarlet walks into the garden with the Tarleton twins, she looks different. The scene was filmed 5 times but the etiquette expert said that no southern girl would show her bosom so early in the day. Vivien has to wear a different dress in the movie’s final version.

#2 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2

The audience is pretty shaken up about the sad fate of spouses Nymphadora Tonks and Remus Lupin. It is a secret that before dying in battle, they had a chance to say goodbye to each other.

Furthermore, it is a fact that Aberforth Dumbledore (Albus’s brother) was in the Hogwarts battle but it wasn’t shown on the screen. He talked to Harry, Ron, and Hermione that it was impossible to beat Voldemort. When Harry says that Dumbledore gave him a task, Aberforth replies, “Piece of advice. My brother’s dead. So, unless you fancy joining him, I would forget about any job he gave you. It was the people my brother cared about that tended to get hurt.” Don’t you think this scene makes the story even more dramatic?

The movie had a deleted scene that revealed the villain wanted to make Nala his queen. It explained why Nala escaped Scar’s pride. He even sang a song about their future together to her but she fell in love with Simba.

In the movie, the character Daniel had to dress like an older woman to see his kids more often. However, not many know that after the mother found out the truth and took her children home, Daniel and Miranda had a quarrel and their offspring witnessed the scene. Unfortunately, the scene was cut.

#5 Star Wars: Episode VI — Return of the Jedi

The most unforgettable scene in the movie is when Luke Skywalker discovers his sworn enemy, Darth Vader, is his father. The audience wondered why Obi-Wan didn’t tell him about his family. But a deleted scene reveals that Obi-Wan lied because Yoda asked him to. He wanted to prevent Luke from becoming a Jedi and fighting for peace in the galaxy.

The producer deleted a scene that proves Miranda Priestly as cold as on the screen. the scene occurs at a fancy party where Miranda’s husband appears and insults guests. At that time, Andy (played by Anne Hathaway) diverts guests’ attention so that Miranda can pull her spouse away as quickly as possible. Miranda says “Thank you”, leaving Andy in shock.

The movie could have been more romantic if the producer hadn’t deleted a scene at the excavation site where Dr. Grant and Dr. Sattler hugged, kissed, and discussed the velociraptor skeletons.

#8 House of the Dragon

Director Grey Yaitanes reveals that a powerful scene was removed from the final cut. It’s a fight between 2 friends, Rhaenyra and Alicent, where Rhaenyra finds out that her father plans to marry Alicent.
Another scene where Rhaenyra agreed to her father’s decision, lacing up Alicent’s wedding gown.

In the fourth season, there is a scene where Princess Diana gives her husband an unusual present: a song from the musical “The Phantom of the Opera”. Eventually, it wasn’t included in the final cut.

The audience can’t see the scene in which Julia Roberts’ character tried to put a packet of ketchup on her posh steak meal. The picnic scene that Vivian and Edward ride horses and share a romantic dinner at a street café wasn’t shown on the screen.

Many movie buffs wonder even today why Rose couldn’t share the panel with Jack. A deleted scene released on the fifteenth movie anniversary answered this question. Jack tried to climb Rose’s panel unsuccessfully. When a man swam to them and wanted to mount the rescue panel, Jack prevented him, saying “It’s just enough for this lady. You’ll push it under.”
